Private Patient Appointments
As a private patient, the most common referral pathway is via a referral from the GP or another specialist doctor, but the consultants do accept some self-referrals. An initial consultation takes place and in the majority of cases diagnostic tests are required to establish a diagnosis. The patients will be asked to send in or bring in previously conducted assessment information in time for the initial consultation.
A follow up consultation then allows the patient and consultant to discuss the results and diagnosis, and jointly establish an appropriate management plan, which may involve one of the therapists, or other external Consultants, whose disciplines may facilitate diagnosis or treatment, such as neurologists or cardiologists.
